Updating profile information
Keep your profile information up to date to ensure proper account access:
- 1Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
- 2Select Account Settings from the dropdown.
- 3Navigate to the Profile tab.
- 4Update your name, email, or profile picture.
- 5Click Save Changes to apply updates.
Information you can update:
- Display name
- Email address (requires verification)
- Profile picture
- Phone number (for 2FA)
- Timezone and language preferences
Changing your password
Regularly changing your master password is a good security practice:
- 1Go to Settings > Security.
- 2Click Change Master Password.
- 3Enter your current master password.
- 4Create a new strong master password (12+ characters recommended).
- 5Confirm your new password and click Update Password.
Important: Changing your master password will sign you out of all other devices. You will need to re-enter the new password on each device.
Managing sessions
View and manage all devices where your account is currently logged in:
- 1Navigate to Settings > Sessions.
- 2View the list of all active sessions.
- 3To end a session, click Revoke next to the device.
- 4To sign out everywhere, click Revoke All Sessions.
Session information shown:
- Device type and browser
- IP address and location
- Last active time
- Session start date
Security tip: Regularly review your active sessions and revoke any you do not recognize.
Account recovery options
Set up recovery options to ensure you can always access your account:
Recovery Email
Add a secondary email address that can be used to recover your account.
- 1. Go to Settings > Security > Recovery Options
- 2. Add a recovery email address
- 3. Verify the email by clicking the confirmation link
Recovery Key
Generate a one-time recovery key to regain access if you forget your master password.
- 1. Go to Settings > Security > Recovery Key
- 2. Enter your master password to generate the key
- 3. Store the key in a safe, offline location
Trusted Contacts
Designate trusted contacts who can help you recover your account (Enterprise plans only).
- 1. Go to Settings > Security > Trusted Contacts
- 2. Add trusted contact email addresses
- 3. They will receive a recovery code they can share with you
Critical: Without recovery options set up, losing your master password means permanent loss of access to your vault. We cannot recover your data.
Deleting your account
If you need to permanently delete your account, please understand the following:
What happens when you delete your account:
- All your credentials and secure notes will be permanently deleted
- Your subscription will be canceled (no refunds for remaining time)
- If you are an organization owner, the organization and all member data will be deleted
- This action cannot be undone
- 1Export your data first (Settings > Export).
- 2Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- 3Enter your master password to confirm.
- 4Type DELETE to confirm you understand this is permanent.
- 5Click Permanently Delete Account.
